Midwestern born and raised. Love Kansas’s wide open spaces and ever-changing weather. Currently trying to resist the urge to save the world and focus on making small differences. Dislike pronouns and really like fragments, almost as much as long, run on sentences. Love the word “and.” And my blog posts are two or three times the customary length but I kinda don’t care.
As an entrepreneur since 1988 and a retailer since 1984, I recently realized I now answer more questions than ask, which surprised me. As a student of life I guess I’m now learning to mentor. Never saw that coming but here I am.
Also never considered I’d be fifty someday and yet…
- My husband taught me to love nature, animals, and embrace world travel while nurturing my need for adventure. I adore my kids and getting dirty outside. I worry about children who only play inside. Hiring, training, coaching, and launching young adults gives me great satisfaction.
- Don’t like exercise but love being healthy and fit.
Not an athlete but quite the competitor.
- Prefer to stay debt free. Hate wasting money but quick to spend excess money on life experiences. Less stuff – more fun!
- Words are my favorite form of expression and my forties taught me to stop worrying about trying to be perfect since the definition of perfect is relative anyway. My advice? Keep thinking, talking, writing, sharing, learning, teaching, traveling, moving, going, living and loving as long as the clock keeps ticking.
